Former Champions Pakistan will start their campaign of the 5th ICC T-20 World Cup in Bangladesh. |
According to the schedule given by the international cricket council, Pakistan will face New-Zealand in their 1st warm-up match on 17th march at Shere-Bangla stadium, Dhaka. After that the green shirts will take on the Proteas on 19th march at Fatullah in their 2nd warm-up game. Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shahid Afridi who played two brilliant match winning knocks against India and Bangladesh to take his team to the final match of Asia cup 2014, will miss both the warm-up matches due to his groin injury. A 15-member Pakistan squad is due to leave Dhaka on Friday to take part in the event. Pakistan will clash arch rivals India in their opening group-2 super ten league rounds at Sher-e-Bangla national stadium, Mirpur on march 21 and Australia in their second game at the same venue on march 23. |
